Driving on a race circuit is very different to normal road driving. To make the most of the cars you’ll be driving on track you need to learn the ‘racing line’ and braking points. We use the brilliant Mazda3 MPS for these initial laps. One of the most powerful front-wheel drive hatchbacks on the market. Our ARDS qualified race instructors will demonstrate the racing lines and braking points plus other hints and tips to help you get the most from your driving experience. Out on track it may seem quite unfamiliar with no road marks or signs and no cars coming in the other direction, but after 3 laps watching and listening to your race instructor you’ll have built up a good idea of the circuit layout and be confident when you first get behind the wheel and head out on track. |

The latest Porsche Cayman is a genuine junior supercar. Similar in looks to the 911 but with a mid-engine layout, this new model has the larger 2.9-litre engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Out on track the car gives incredible feedback, allowing the driver to build in confidence and enjoy the increased power and incredible grip that the car generates. Nowhere else in the UK will you drive such an expensive and new car as your introduction to a driving experience. With 4 laps behind the wheel you’ll not only have a huge smile on your face but be ready to take on the next car, no doubt feeling like the next Lewis Hamilton. |

The stunning R8 is Audi's first attempt at a supercar and they got it right first time. The look of the car is completely different to anything else on the market yet it couldn't be anything else but an Audi. Each R8 is handmade in Germany by specialist teams making each car to a high standard. Open the door and drop into the driving seat, the car seems to mould around you, hit the starter button and the V8 bangs into life. Out on track the car gives incredible levels of grip, even at speed. The aluminium chassis gives great feedback to the driver and urges you to push on more and more. With the V8 screaming away just behind your ear, the nose of the car going exactly where you point it, you wont be able to stop yourself smiling. |

About the Audi R8 Driving Experience
The Audi R8 is a supercar so perfectly suited to driving around the high and low speed corners at Croft Circuit.
Audi have hit the spot with their first attempt at a supercar. Not only in the handling and performance department but also with the styling. An area which so many manufacturers fail to get right when entering the supercar market.
Out on track the car has the traction you'd expect from Audi with performance that will blow your mind. The 4.2L V8 engines power is delivered through the tyres so effectively, giving you confidence to push the car harder on the UK's fastest race circuit - Thruxton.
Preparing you for this drive is the more delicate feeling Porsche Cayman. Four laps in this stunning German coupe will ensure you are fully comfortable and confident with the lines and technique of driving Thruxton Circuit.
After the Audi R8 the driver will experience a proper single seat racing car. Feel what its like to be an F1 driver as you experience g-force and amazing acceleration and stopping power. Lewis Hamilton better watch out!
